RAJOURI, June 30: Police rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested three persons.
As per police spokesman, a police team led by PSI Jatinder Sharma under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Fareed Ahmed during routine checking, frisking at the Salani bridge intercepted three Mahindra load carriers which were moving towards Poonch.
During checking, police team rescued 9 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested three persons.
Meanwhile, a team from Chingus Police also rescued five bovine animals, while the smugglers managed to escape.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation started.
