SRINAGAR: Action has been taken against 17 Government official for appointing 133 employees illegally in the health department in Kashmir division during the year 2012.
Minister for Health and Medical Education Bali Bhagat today informed the Legislative Council that 133 employees were found as illegal appointees in the Health Department of Kashmir division by the Audit & Inspection Department conducted inspection during the year 2012.
Meanwhile, it raised certain observations against 2274 employees. While replying to a question by Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri, the Minister said the Department constituted Divisional and District level Committees to scrutinize the cases of these employees.
The Minister informed that a departmental inquiry was conducted in this regard in which 17 officers and officials were found involved and action was taken against those who made these appointments. (AGENCIES)
