13 bovines rescued, 3 held

UDHAMPUR, May 24: Ramnagar police rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Ramnagar police station laid a naka near Kaitha, Ramnagar and apprehended 3 persons namely Mohammad Hussain, Kulli and Suram Ali, all residents of Kathua.
13 bovine animals were rescued from the smugglers, which they were taking towards Srinagar on foot to dodge the police.
A case under FIR number 45/14 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at police station Ramnagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrests under the supervision of Abhishek Sharma, SDPO Ramnagar and Sulemam Choudhry, SSP Udhampur.
