MENDHAR, Feb 13: A girl student of 12 class received electric shocks from HT line while about half a dozen other girls had miraculous escape when they had gone on the roof top of the Govt Higher Secondary School today.
These girls from Muqadus Private School had gone to Govt Higher Secondary School for Zoology practical of class 12th. Students of first shift were busy in Lab while others were asked to wait at the roof top for their turn in the second shift at 2 pm. Since the HT power line passes closer to the roof of the school building, one of the girls Rozia Kouser, daughter of of Mohd Shabir, resident of Ari in Mendhar got trapped and then thrown away with electric shock. The other girls standing nearby cried for safety and had miraculous escape. They immediately shifted Rozia to SDH Mendhar while no staff member accompanied victim to hospital. Later parents of the girl also reached there.
BMO Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan who attended the injured girl said that her condition was stable and she was also under severe shock. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
