DODA, June 25: Police today seized 125 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and arrested two persons.
A police spokesman said that, police party from police post Khellani during checking intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JK21-3033 on its way from Doda to Jammu.
During checking, police recovered 125 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Baba Ram, son of Boti Ram of Bishnah, Jammu and Antosh Kumar, son of Jagdish Chand of Bari Brahmana, Jammu.
A case under FIR number 120/14 under Section 379 RPC and 6-Forest Act has been registered at police station Doda and investigation started.
