JAMMU, July 15: The J&K State Paramedical Council successfully conducted the examination of about 12000 students of different streams in the State today.
In Jammu Division, a total of 4573 students appeared. Out of them, 1576 and 944 were of Female Multipurpose Health Worker for Part I and II respectively, 285 and 206 students of Male Multipurpose Health Worker stream for Part I and II, 708 and 388 of 1st year and 3rd year of General Nursing Midwifery Stream.
Rest of the students were of the streams of Ophthalmic Assistant, Sanitary Inspector, Anaesthesia Assistant, D-Pharmacy and Pharmacist Indian System of Medicine, who appeared in different examination centres across Jammu Division.
In Jammu district, 2417 students appeared in three centres, in Kishtwar 175 students, in Doda 148, in Poonch 272, in Rajouri 381, in Udhampur 509 and in Kathua 730 students appeared in three different centres.
A team headed by Dr (Prof) Sunanda Raina, Principal / Dean, GMC Jammu and Vice President, J&K State Paramedical Council Jammu accompanied by Dr Sandeep Singh, Registrar and Dr (Prof) A S Bhatia, Controller of Examinations, J&K State Paramedical Council, Jammu inspected the centres of Jammu throughout the day.
Dr. Sunanda Raina, Vice President J&K State Paramedical Council congratulated all those involved in the process for successful completion of the Phase-II Paramedical Examination. Dr. Sandeep Singh Registrar J&K State Paramedical Council affirmed the decision in streamlining the Paramedical Education in the State.
Dr. A S Bhatia, Controller of Examinations stated that the Practical Examinations of all streams of Paramedical Course will be started in few days and the result will be declared within two months duration so that the next session can be started well in time. Dr Bhatia expressed his gratitude towards the team of J&K State Paramedical Council comprising of Roshan Lal Koul, Rajni Munjal, Sapna, Anjana, Shepali, Rakesh Arora, Fida Hussain, Shabbir Ahmed and Shakoor for their whole hearted effort in bringing the Paramedical Education to the main stream.
