120 return from PoK

SRINAGAR, Oct 9: More than 120 persons, who had gone for arms training across the border to Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) have returned to the State ever since the policy for their return and rehabilitation has been announced by the Central Government.
According to the information provided by the Home Department, it has been said that 123 persons have returned to the State from Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Pakistan via Nepal and other routes. The information revealed that 90 persons have brought their families along while as the rest have come back alone.
“So far 1082 applications have been received on behalf of the persons who intend to return under the Rehabilitation Policy. Out of this, 219 cases have been recommended for return with rest of the applications being scrutinized and verified,” the information revealed.
The information said that 3084 militants are presently putting up in Pakistan occupied Kashmir while as 824 missing youth of different districts are reported to have joined militancy. It added that the Rehabilitation Policy has been announced under the Cabinet decision No. 253/23/2012 dated November 22, 2010 and vide Government order No. Home-1376 (ISA) of 2010 dated November 23, 2010.
