Srinagar, Feb 24: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, SJM Gillani has issued promotion order of 120 Head Constables (HCs) to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector, a police spokesman said today.
The spokesman said the IGP Kashmir felicitated these newly promoted Assistant Sub Inspectors and their families on this occasion. “He exhorted them to work with even more dedication and devotion,” he said.
The spokesman said that in last eight months, Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar (ZPHQ) has promoted 593 officers and officials in different ranks. “In last July, 171 Head Constables were promoted as ASIs, in August 94 Selection Grade Constables were promoted as HCs, in September 231 Selection Grade Constables were promoted as HCs and in October, 97 ASIs were promoted as Sis,” the police spokesman added.
