UDHAMPUR, June 9: A 12-year-old girl from Majalta, who was allegedly kidnapped on May 30, was rescued today by Police from Samba district.
Police also arrested the alleged kidnapper, identified as Ashwani Kumar, son of Bodh Raj of Sundla, Majalta and restored the victim to her parents after completion of legal formalities.
Reports said that a case FIR number 45/2021, under Section 363 IPC was registered regarding kidnapping of the minor girl after her father lodged a written complaint in Police Station Majalta on May 30, 2021.
On basis of the complaint, Police teams raided at different places and finally a team led by PSI Akhilesh rescued the minor girl from district Samba and also arrested the accused.
