12-day food festival ‘Rang e Mehfil’ begins at The Terrace Skylounge

JAMMU, Mar 28: Savor the authentic delicacies from the land of Awadh Hyderabad and Mughal era as a spectacular 12-day food festival titled ‘Rang e Mehfil’ for dinner began today at The Terrace Skylounge in Hotel KC Residency.
The Terrace Skylounge is all set to tickle the taste buds with a blend of delicacies like Nawabi kebabs to curries from the land of Nizams and authentic Mughlai preparations.
World renowned Master Chef Rehman Mujeebur and his team of bawarchis have been specially flown to the city of temples to spread an elaborate array of Awadhi dishes including Kebabs, Kormas, Biryani, Kaliya, Nahari-kulchas, Zarda, Sheermal, Roomali rotis and Warqi parathas and induce the aroma of cardamom.
The cuisine of this region is generally defined by a simplistic style of preparation, involving large chunks of meat or vegetables, sparsely marinated and slow cooked in a Tandoor at high temperatures. Spices are used to the right amount so as not to overpower the dish, but to just remain preserved in the flavour of the final product.
The buffet spread will feature authentic culinary delicacies that revolve around the three most essential elements of an Indian kitchen — the tandoor, the tawa and the charcoal grill. Guests can enjoy a culinary expedition across a variety of regions and styles. With a selection of some familiar and some new and interesting dishes, KC Residency presents the very best of Indian cuisine. The antique and rustic ambience adds grandeur to this paramount restaurant.
During the 12-day long festival, different delicacies such Murg Nawabi, has the delicate perfumed effect of Mace and Kewda, which dominated the Mughlai & Awadhi Kebabs. The menu offers a vast range with mouthwatering specials like Zafrani Biryani, Dum Biryani, Hyderabadi Biryani, Matka Biryani, Gilafi Seekh Kebab, Galauti Kebab, Boti Kebab, Luckhnawi Barra Kebab, Haryali Tikka, Teekha Paneer Tikka and many many more.
