12 bovines rescued; 3 smugglers arrested

UDHAMPUR, Nov 21: Police today rescued 12 bovines while foiling bovine smuggling bids in Udhampur and arrested three smugglers.
These bovines were being smuggled towards Kashmir in three vehicles, which were intercepted at Jakhani Naka, led by SHO Udhampur, Raghubir Singh under the supervision of Addl SP Udhampur Anwaar Ul Haq and DySP Hqrs Sahil Mahajan.
The three vehicles, bearing registration number JK14D- 0630, JK199457 and JK02AW-6327 were being driven by Mohd Parvaiz son of Mohd Sadiq of Dhramthal, Chenani, Mohd Anwar son of Mohd Maqbool of Anantnag and Danish Ahmad son of Javid Ahmad of Kokernag, Anantnag, respectively.
Police rescued all the bovines and seized the vehicles besides arresting all three drivers.
Three FIRs bearing number 487/488/489 of 2022, under section 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act have been registered in this connection in Police Station Udhampur.
