12 bovine animals rescued, 4 accused arrested

REASI, Mar 30:      Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Arnas and rescued 12 animals besides arresting four persons in this regard.
On specific information, a police team headed by Incharge SPP Raskeen,  under the supervision of Javed Ahmed Lone- SHO P/S Arnas,  laid a naka at Raskeen and rescued 12 bovine animals, which were being taken to Kashmir without valid documents.
Police also arrested the accused persons, who were identified as Abdul Karim, Akhter Hussain, Mohd Shafi and Mumtaz Ahmed, all residents of Narla Bambal Tehsil Khawas, district Rajouri.  They intended to smuggle these bovine animals towards Kashmir via Chiligali.
All the accused persons have been arrested. In this connection, case FIR No.23/2017 U/S 188 RPC, 3PCA Act has been registered at P/S Arnas.
