11-year old boy drowns in Nallah

UDHAMPUR, Sept 6: In a tragic incident, an 11-year old boy drowned while taking bath in Badol Nallah at village Pallaran in Ramnagar, here today.
The deceased was identified as Anil Kumar, son of Shanker Dass of Pallaran. He had gone to fetch drinking water from a natural spring  but started taking bath in Badol Nallah, which falls on the way from his home. Later his body was fished out from the Nallah and sent to Sub-District Hospital Ramnagar for the postmortem..
Meanwhile, a four-year old girl child and an elderly pedestrian  were injured when a minibus hit them  near Khoon area of Majalta, here today.
Driver of the minibus fled the spot while the injured were shifted to  PHC Majalta from where they were  further referred to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Radhika (4),  daughter of Kewal Sharma of  Sandhosar and Krishan Chand (70), son of Ruful Chand of Sandhosar Khoon.
Police has registered a case in this regard and also seized the minibus JK02 AL-1420, which had hit the victims.
