JAMMU, Dec 25: Police rescued 11 bovine animals and arrested two persons from Suketar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka near Suketar and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AB-8677.
During checking, police rescued 11 bovine animals from the truck and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Tofim Nissar of Rajouri and Mohammad Rela of Domana.
A case under FIR Number 144/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered against the accused at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
