MENDHAR, July 26: The police seized 100 bottles illicit liquor from Mendhar area and arrested one person in this connection.
Official sources said that a naka party led by PSI, Rohit Manmar during checking at Sakhi Maidan intercepted one person namely- Shubhankar Sarkar, son of Gopal Sarkar, resident of Chandiya Hazara, Utter Pradesh. 100 quarters of special whisky of 180 ml each was recovered from his possession. He is presently residing in Mendhar area.
A case FIR No. 292/2021 u/s 48(a) Excise Act stand registered at Police Station Mendhar against him.
