JAMMU, Apr 21: A 10-year old boy was sexually assaulted by a 30-year old youth in Kotli (Miran Sahib) area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, on April 17, the victim had gone to buy some eggs in a tea-shop near his residence, when the shop owner namely Sunny son of Janak Raj, resident of Kotli, took him to a secluded place on some pretext and sexually assaulted him.
“The matter was reported today in police station Miran Sahib by the father of the victim, after which the medical of the victim boy was done this evening at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”, sources said.
In this connection, a case under Section 377 was registered at police station Miran Sahib and the accused youth arrested while further investigations in the case were underway.
