10 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, June 3: Ten persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a speeding mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AA-8127 this morning hit the divider of a road at Rajpura Magotrian and turned turtle. In the mishap, three passengers of the mini-bus were injured and were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. They were identified as Gurjeet Singh (5) son of Harjeet Singh, Rakesh Kumar (40) son of Bal Krishan and Kartar Chand (75) son of Tota Ram, resident of Rajpura Magotrian.
Another mishap occurred today at about 10:15 am at Jourian, where a vehicle bearing registration No PB10AJ-6622 driven in a rashly and negligent manner by a man identified as Sohan Lal son of Littu Ram, resident of Manchak, hit and injured a pedestrian namely Shano Devi wife of Karan Singh Chib of Manchak. The injured woman was shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
Two persons were also injured when a vehicle bearing registration No JKO2H-1803 driven in a negligent manner by a youth identified as Vicky Kumar son of Pappu Ram, resident of Narsingh Pura (Pargwal), from Jourian towards Khour, turned turtle at Troti. The injured were identified as driver Vicky Kumar and other occupant of the vehicle, Krishan Lal (39) son of Kullu Ram of Narsingh Pura. They were shifted to CHC Jourian for treatment.
In another case, two persons identified as Surjeet Singh (25) son of Wazir Singh of Barnai and Sahil (25) son of Radha (25) of Bantalab, got injured in the collision of a car and a bike near Convent School, Chinore. They were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
A pedestrian identified as Guddu Ram (65) son of Sewa Ram, resident of Akhnoor and a motorcyclist namely Sohan Lal (25) son of Dharm Chand, resident of Thathi, sustained injuries when the bike being ridden by Sohan Lal hit the Guddu Ram at Akhnoor. Both were taken to GMCH for treatment.
In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
