10 die of COVID in Kashmir

248 test +ve in Valley

SRINAGAR, Sept 1: Ten people died of COVID-19 in Kashmir while the Valley received 248 fresh Coronavirus cases today.
A 50-year-old woman from Wislapora in district Budgam died at SKIMS Soura, five days after she was admitted to the hospital.
A 65-year-old man from HMT Srinagar who was admitted to SMHS hospital on August 26 as a case of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), hypertension and bilateral community acquired pneumonia, died today.
A 70-year-old from Sumbal Bandipora, who was admitted to the hospital on August 31 as a case of bilateral CAP died today.
A 66-year-old woman from Manasbal in Ganderbal district, who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on August 27 died today.
A 60-year-old man from Ahan in Ganderbal district who was admitted on August 24 died this afternoon. He was suffering with bilateral CAP and died due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
The five deaths from Pulwama include 75-year-old man from Khangund Satoora, 78-year-old man from Tral Payeen, 62-year-old man from Mandoora, a 50-year-old woman from Panzoo and 65-year-old man from Pinglish.
With these deaths, 722 people have died due to COVID in Jammu and Kashmir so far including 652 from the Valley.
Srinagar district with 223 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 100, Budgam 62, Anantnag 50, Pulwama 54, Kupwara 49, Kulgam 35, Shopian 28, Bandipora 26 and Ganderbal 23.
Kashmir reported 284 fresh cases of COVID 19 today taking the number of positive cases to 38,223 cases including 29,201 from Kashmir.
Those who tested positive today include 95 from Srinagar, 14 Baramulla, 36 Pulwama, 17 Budgam, 26 Anantnag, 28 Bandipora, 23 Kupwara, 9 Kulgam, Shopian and 34 from Ganderbal in Kashmir.
The total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 8,022 including 5,704 from Kashmir division.
With 469 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 29,484 which is 77.13 percent of the total cases.
Srinagar district alone has 9,368 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where total cases are 9, 022.
As per officials figures, 9,368 positive cases including 223 deaths and 7,634 recoveries are from Srinagar, 2,840 including 100 deaths and 2,249 recoveries are from Baramulla, 2,684 including 2,134 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Pulwama, 2,524 including 1,802 recoveries and 62 deaths are from Budgam, 2,358 including 50 deaths and 1,783 recoveries are from Anantnag, 2,208 including 1,474 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Bandipora, 2,117 cases including 1,474 and 48 deaths are from Kupwara, 1,934 including 1,720 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Kulgam, 1,701 including 1,586 recoveries and 28 deaths are from Bandipora and 1,467 including 994 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ganderbal.
