JAMMU, Mar 26: The Provincial Local Bodies Employees Association has demanded the State Government to release 10% DA installment from January 2014 in respect of State employees and pensioners.
President of the Association, Inder Teji said that State employees and pensioners are facing acute financial hardships due to phenomenal price hike, so it is the need of the hour that State Government should release 10% DA to its employees and pensioners.
He also demanded immediate payment of 2nd and 3rd installment of 6th CPC arrears to the retired employees of Municipal Committee Udhampur, which are payable from April 2012 and April 2013 respectively.
The other demands highlighted by the Association included 4th installment of CPC arrears payable from April this year, enhancement of Medical Allowance to Rs 1000 per month, raising pension after 80 years on Central Government pattern, restoration of commuted pension after 12 instead of 15 years, etc.
