REASI, June 29: Police today arrested a bovine smuggler and rescued 10 cattle from his possession when he was taking them to Kashmir.
According to a spokesperson of Reasi Police, in continuation to its special drive against the bovine smuggling, on the directions of SSP Reasi, a police party of P/S Mahore, led by the SHO, laid Naka at Bagga and intercepted the accused identified as Mohd Yousaf son of Samonda of Mahore. He was taking 10 bovine animals by foot toward Kashmir valley without seeking permission from the concern authorities.
Police rescued the bovine animals and arrested the accused smuggler. In this regard, case FIR number 39/19 U/S 188/RPC has been registered at P/S Mahore.
