UDHAMPUR, Mar 7: Chenani Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 10 animals besides arresting the accused smuggler.
Acting on reliable information, a Police team from PS Station Chenani laid a surprise naka at Domil Chenani and intercepted one Truck bearing registration number JK02AA-8579, which was on way towards Kashmir. During thorough search, the vehicle was found loaded with ten bovine animals, which were rescued. Police also seized the truck arrested its driver, namely Javed Ahmed of Kukarnag Anantnag Kashmir.
A case under section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Chenani.
