10 bovine animals rescued

POONCH, July 20: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, Police today rescued ten animals and arrested three smugglers from Kallar under the jurisdiction of Gursai Police Station.
Police also seized the truck JK02AE-2687, in which the bovine animals were being smuggled to Kashmir Valley.
Reports said that acting on specific information, a Police party led by SDPO Shahid Naeem intercepted the truck at Kallar and rescued the animals. All the three smugglers were also arrested on the spot. The accused were identified as Bilayat Hussain of Kandi Bridge Rajouri, Mohd Zafar of Buddhal and Mohd Ashan of Reasi.
A case has been registered in this connection at Gursai Police Station.
