RAMBAN, Dec 24: One person was killed, while seven others were injured in vehicles collision at Gund Adalkoot area, falling under the jurisdiction of Banihal Police Station.
As per police sources, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK19-0737 collided with Maruti 800 car (JK02AN-0432), resulting into injuries to 8 persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Banihal, from where one of the injured persons was referred to a hospital in Srinagar, but he died on the way.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ramzan (50), son of Ghulam Mohammad of Gool, while the injured have been identified as Ajay Singh, son of Gupi Singh of Maitra, Ranjeet Singh, son of Parshad Singh of Kishtwar, Mohammad Abdullah, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh of Bharat District Doda, Misra Begum, wife of Mohammad Abdullah of Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh, son of Parshad Singh, Rita Devi, wife of Ranjeet Singh and Sapna Devi, wife of Hakeekat Singh.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
