1 killed, 4 injured in road mishaps

KATHUA, June 13: One person was killed and four others were injured today in two separate road mishaps in Langote Morh area.
According to a police spokesperson, an old man identified as Puran Chand (65) son of Amar Nath and other pillion rider namely Neeraj Kumar son of Puran Chand a resident of Kumari was on their way to home on their bike when they hit their two wheeler with a divider of the road. Two seriously injured were shifted to District Hospital, Kathua where Puran Chand was declared as brought dead by doctors and Neeraj was responding to the treatment when last reports came in.
In yet another accident in Langote area two bikers namely Bopinder Singh and Radha Sham resident of Bedhblour were serious injured when their bike hit a pedestrian namely Vinod Kumar resident of Billawar. All the three were shifted to District Hospital, Kathua and later were shifted Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for specialised treatment. They were responding to the treatment when last report came in.
In both the accidents, police has taken the cognizance of the matter and further investigations are on.
