DODA, Dec 22: One person was killed while two others were injured when the Swift car they were travelling in rolled down near Murarabad here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02CL-8687 was on its way from Pul Doda to Bhatta, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge near Murarabad, resulting into injuries to three persons.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were shifted to GMC Doda, where one failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Afzal, son of Mohammad Sharief of Pul Doda, while the injured were identified as Kirpal Singh, son of Surjan Singh and Man Singh, son of Prabhat Singh, both residents of Pul Doda.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
