1 killed, 15 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, June 25: One person was killed and 15 got injured today in different accidents across the Valley, police said.
In a collision between a Tavera bearing registration number JK01R/8404 and a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK01N/1539 at Gas Turbine, Pampore on National Highway 10 persons were injured, police said.
Police said the injured were shifted to a hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries.
Two pedestrians were injured when a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK03B/6092 hit them at K P Road, Anantnag. Police identified them as Mohammad Ramzan Bhat son of Abdul Gani Bhat of Chee Anantnag and Pachan Kumar son of Gupta Lal Danch of Nepal working in a Hardware Shop. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, police said.
Abdul Majeed Baba son of Ghulam Mohudin of Arhama Kangan was critically injured when his scooter bearing registration number JK16/2574 skidded off the road near Fishpond Sonamarg. A pillion Moha-mmad Hussain son of Jumma of Kulan Ganderbal was also injured in the incident. Police said they have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A motorcyclist, Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Yousuf of Sopat Qazigund, was injured when an unidentified bike hit his bike at Nipora, Kulgam, police said. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
An Auto- rickshaw driver, Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Yousuf of Sopat Qazigund, was injured when his vehicle bearing registration number JK05B/6219 rammed into a parked Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK05C/5264 at Trumgund, Sopore on the National Highway. The injured has been shifted to Sub District Hospital for treatment An Auto-rikshaw driver was injured when his vehicle caught fire due to some snag in the engine. Police said he has been shifted to a hospital.
