JAMMU, June 22: One person was killed in a road accident in Kandi area of district Rajouri today.
A police official said that incident took place near Faiza Morh, Kandi, wherein an Alto car bearing registration number JK11H/ 1102 rolled down in to a gorge this afternoon.
The vehicle, driven by Mohd Shakoor, son of Mishri Khan Kamlak, a resident of Kandi Kadyoon, was on way to Mandir Gala from Kotranka town.
The driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into a gorge, causing on the spot . death of the driver- Mohd Shakoor.
The body was shifted to the Community Health Center (CHC), Kandi for the necessary legal formalities.
Dr Vinod Kumar Bhat, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kandi, confirmed that the postmortem has been conducted. Following the completion of legal formalities, the body has been handed over to the deceased’s family.
