SRINAGAR, July 8: One person died and 10 others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
A police spokesperson said that a Tipper JK01 0159 driven by Mohammad Iqbal Malik son of Ghulam Rasool of Sadiwari hit and injured a pedestrian Hilal Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman of Tral at Nadoora Dooru, Anantnag. The injured was admitted at Sub District Hospital, Dooru and then referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, where he succumbed to his injuries.
In another accident, a Maruti car JK03 5129 driven by Zahid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Hamid of Zaidpora, Kulgam turned turtle at Poolia, Anantnag resulting in injuries to two passengers Showkat Ahmad Thokar son of Ghulam Rasool and Dilawar Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rehman of Zaidpora. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, where from Dilawar Ahmad was referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Qualis JK01H 3236 on way from Tangmarg to Magam hit other two vehicles a Nano car JK01R 9242 and Chases Alto car and also hit and injured two pedestrians Mohammad Amin Tantary son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Kunzer and Dhananji Nag son of Davinder Chand of Alipora Jallpari, Bihar. Both the injured were shifted to Primary Health Centre, Kunzer for treatment; where from Mohammad Amin was referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Tata Sumo JK12 3698 driven by Abdul Amin Gujjar son of Abdul Majeed of Sekimadan, Mendhar Poonch hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Ahmad Dar son of Sadiq Dar of Search, Ganderbal near Search crossing, Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment.
In another accident, a Gypsy JK02S 7396 driven by Sukhveer Singh son of Karan Singh of Ward No. 6, Dhar Road Udhampur hit and injured Mohammad Younis Khatana son of Mohammad Ayoub of Thanda Pani Poonch, near Dumail Baltal, Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
In another accident, a Load Carrier JK22 2403 hit a Tavera bearing registration number JK13B 7655 at Degree College, Kulgam, resulting in injuries to a pedestrian Abdul Rashid Laway son of Ghulam Ahmad of Hanand Chawalgam. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Kulgam for treatment, where from he was referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
In another accident, a Motorcycle JK09 7411 skidded off the road near Gas Plant, Awantipora, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Tariq Ahmad War son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Shah Nagri, Handwara. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
Meanwhile, a Tempo Traveler JK02AN 6361 hit a Polo Car without registration number neat T T Gate Pantha chowk, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to the Tempo driver. A case has been registered in this regard.
