JAMMU, Mar 11: Over one lakh devotees thronged the holy religious places of Purmandal and Utterbeni on the occasion of Somawari Amawasia today.
The devotees drawn from different parts of Jammu region took a holy dip in the Ganga there and performed the traditional pooja.
As per reports 1.50 lakh devotees paid obeisance at these two holy places on the sacred occasion of Somawari Amawasia.
Besides 20,000 devotees paid obeisance at Arvhima temple 12 kms away from Katuha and took a holy dip there.
A large number of devotees also visited Mansar lake in Kathua district and took a holy dip there. The devotees also visited Pandav temple Khoon at Majalta in Udhampur district on the occasion of Somwari Amawasia today.
