SRINAGAR:  Reacting to reports that militants barged into the house of a top police officer in south Kashmir, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today said that if BJP hadn’t been a coalition partner in the Government, they would have been burning the Chief Minister’s effigies by now.

”If the BJP hadn’t been an ally & constituent of the J&K government the usual suspects would have been burning the CM’s effigies by now,” the working President of the main Opposition National Conference (NC)  wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The former CM was reacting to reports that at least 10 militants vandalised the home of a senior officer in Shopian few days back, and warned his relatives that he should quit his job or face the consequences. (AGENCIES)
