JAMMU, Aug 29: To mark the celebrations of women’s equality day, Shrimati Shanti Gupta Centre for Women Studies organized a visit to Old Age Home Amphalla, Jammu with a purpose of inculcating social ethics among youngsters.
The students of M Ed Department of MIER College of Education along with Monika Rathore, Project Coordinator, CWS paid a visit to the home for the aged and infirm.
Students very enthusiastically interacted with the old women and discussed about their needs and problems.
The conversation reflected their compassion and empathy towards the needs of old women.
Students also carried some refreshments for the inmates which they distributed among them. The inmates were happy on receiving the goods and gave blessings to the students.
Most of the students gave assurance to be sensitive towards the need of the old women which is a neglected segment in our society.
Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER lauded the efforts of the students.
