DODA, Mar 8: Warrior Cup 2018, a month-long cricket tournament organized by Doda Warrior Sports Club and sponsored by Capacity Communication Development Unit (CCDU) of PHE department concludes today here at the Sports Stadium.
District Development Commissioner, Bhawani Rakwal was chief guest at the valedictory function which was also attended by ADC, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle, Executive Engineer PHE Division and other district officers.
The tournament was organized with a view to create awareness regarding water conservation among general public.
The cricket tournament was one among various events organized by CCDU in the district to spread awareness about the importance of water conservation among the masses.
In his address, the DDC highlighted the issue of water conservation and requested all the participants in general and staff of PHE Department in particular to make the public aware of the water conservation to save the humanity.
The tournament was played in three age categories of under 14, U/17 and U/19.
The Rising Star Cricket Clun bagged Warrior Cup 2018 title by defeating Faridia Fighters in the final match in Under 19 categories.
