KATHUA, Feb 23: CRPF 121 Battalion, under the Civic Action Programme started its three days Volleyball Tournament at Sport Stadium here to encourage the youth towards sports activities.
The Deputy Commandant of CRPF 121 Battalion, Tashi Zalik was chief guest and inaugurated the Tournament after formal introduction with the players of all eight participating teams drawn from border areas and other parts of the Kathua district. Earlier, the participating teams assembled and took oath to play with spirit for the glory of sports.
In the first match, Bobiya Club defeated Bhayia team, while Gurra Mudian Club won the second match.
While addressing, Mr Zalik said that CRPF 121 Bn has organized the tournament under the Civic Action Programme, to develop the spirit of sportsmanship and channelize the energy of youth towards building the nation.
