KATHUA, June 21: Kamaljeet defeated Shinda and won 88th Ramkote Kesari Dangal organized by the Dangal Committee at Ramkote.
The winner got Rs 1,00,000 prize money presented by chief guest Dr Nirmal Singh, Speaker J&K Assembly in presence of KS Jaswal, Retd Brigadier, Gaurav Gupta Secretary Chamber of Commerce and Marathon Man of Jammu, Dr Jagdish Mehra CEO Katra Development Authority, Rahul Basotra Tehsildar Ramkote, SHO Billawar Vijay Sharma and committee members.
The second main bout was between Gopi and Bheem, in which latter emerged winner and Rs 51000 cash prize was presented to him. The third bout was won by Goldi from Jassa and Rs 41000 was presented to him, whereas in fourth bout, Sukha defeated Manpreet and cash prize of Rs 35000 was presented to him.
In the fifth bout, Gurpreet lost to Tinku and cash prize of Rs 31000 was presented to the winner, whereas in sixth bout, Nawazad defeated Kala and Rs 25000 cash prize was presented to him.
Female wrestler Poonam challenged Mushtak and won the bout. Special bouts were between Kala and Dilshan, in which former emerged winner. Jaideep defeated Gurpreet in another bout.
Members of Organizing Committee and technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of Dangal were President Rajesh Gupta, Chairman Madan Gopali, Vice Chairman Vinay Gupta, Cashier Vijay Gupta, Ex-Sarpanch Budhi Singh, Vice President Kishore Mehra, Committee Members Pardeep Khajuria, Rocky Mehra, Rajinder Kumar, Virinder Kumar, Satish Kharka, Anil Kumar and Vishal Raina, Vishal Deonia Secretary, Ravikant Gupta, General Secretary, Kailash Sharma, Ajay Kumar, Dharminder Gupta, Vinod Spolia, Om Parkash Gupta, Sardha Nand and Jia Lal.
