JAMMU, June 21: PCC, Rising Club, Manhas Cricket Club (MCC), Jyotipura Cricket Club (JCC) and United Cricket Club (UCC) Blues outplayed their rivals and sailed into the next stage of the JKCA Premier Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Ramban, Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi and Udhampur districts.
At Ramban, PCC registered win over Shakel Cement Store (SCS) by a huge margin of 173 runs and registered berth in the next stage.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, PCC made 227 runs by losing 7 wickets in 30 overs. Raees made 54 runs, while Sahid, Imran and Adil made 39, 29 and 28 runs respectively.
For SCS, Shaleem and Muzamil scalped 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, SCS failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 55 runs by losing all the wickets in 14 overs. Bilal scored 15 runs.
For PCC side, Imtiyaz took 3 wickets, while Saqlain, Nadeem and Raees took 2 wickets each.
Raees of PCC was declared as Man of the Match.
At Poonch, Rising Club defeated Police-XI by 65 runs and entered next round.
Batting first after winning the toss, Rising Club made 196 runs by losing all the wickers in 24.3 overs. Rashid was the top scorer with 45 runs, while Shoib and Waseem made 43 and 25 runs respectively.
For Police-XI, Gourav was the pick of the bowler as he scalped 4 wickets, while Sunny took 2 wickets.
In reply, Police-XI bundled out at 135 runs by losing all the wickets in 21.2 overs. Irfan, Mehmood and Tejpal scored 31, 25 and 17 runs respectively.
For Rising Club, Fardosh and Shoib scalped 3 wickets each.
Shoib of Rising Club was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sanjay Misri and Rajinder Singh Toofan, while the scorecard was maintained by Surinder Singh.
At Rajouri, Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) outplayed Shinning Star Cricket Club (SSCC) by 6 wickets and sailed into next stage.
Batting first, SSCC made 161 runs by losing all the wickets in 26.1 overs. Rahul Singh was highest scorer with 55 runs, while Atul Sudan and Azeem Lone made 27 and 26 runs respectively.
For MCC, Anuj was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 wickets, while Zaheer and Ayush took 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, SSCC chased the target by losing only 4 wickets and thus won the match by 6 wickets. Vishal chipped in 56 runs, while Sahil Ahmed, Ishtiaq and Anuj scored 35, 32 and 23 runs respectively.
For SSCC, Firdose Dar scalped 2 wickets, while Sajid and Aftab took one wicket apiece.
Anuj of MCC was declared as Man of the Match.
At Reasi, Jyotipuram Cricket Club (JCC) trounced Talwara Cricket Club (TCC) by 33 runs and sailed into next stage.
Batting first after winning the toss, JCC scored 214 runs by losing all the wickets in 30 overs. Ajit was the top scorer with 55 runs, while Ashok made 53 runs and Rajesh contributed with 30 runs.
For TCC, Angrej and Saleem scalped 4 wickets each.
In reply, TCC failed to chase the target and lost the match by 33 runs by losing all the wickets in 27.5 overs. Ranjeet and Ganesh made 45 and 29 runs respectively.
For JCC, Ravi scalped 4 wickets and Ajay and Sahil took 2 wickets each.
At Udhampur, UCC Blues won the match by 108 runs against Chandail Cricket Club (CCC) and enter into next round.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, UCC Blues scored 202 runs by losing 7 wickets in 30 overs. Gourav Khajuria made 66 runs, while Himanshu Chandan and Malik scored 56 and 22 runs respectively.
For CCC, Amir Khan scalped 2 wickets, while Sohan Singh and Rajan Kotwal took one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, CCC bundled out at paltry 94 runs by losing all the wickets in 18.5 over, this lost the match by huge margin of 108 runs. Sanjeet Singh made 20 runs, while Raju and Asif Chandal scored 15 runs each.
For UCC Blues, Sourav Khajuria took 3 wickets, while Sidhu Sharma scalped 2 wickets and Saksham pocketed one wicket.
Gourav Khajuria of UCC Blues was adjudged as Man of the Match.
