IRP 9th Battalion organizes Volleyball Tournament

RAMBAN, May 13: IRP 9th Battalion of Jammu & Kashmir Armed Police at Ramban today organized   Volleyball Tournament at District Headquarters, here.
The matches were held at Govt Higher Secondary School Ramban.
Dr Ashok Kumar Sharma, Principal Higher Secondary School Ramban was the Chief Guest.
The Tournament was organized under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police, Abrar Chowdhary, Commandant IRP 9th Battalion. The tournament was organized under Civic Action programme CAP 2016-17.
On the occasion, the Commandant alongwith Chief Guest interacted with the players, couches and physical education officers and lauded the role and interest of the youth in sports.
Earlier police distributed the sports uniforms and sports kits among the players.
The dignitaries who spoke on the occasion were Principal Ashok Kumar Sharma and NCC Officer Raj Singh Raju.
SSP Abrar Chowdhary, Commandant IRP 9th Battalion highlighted the role and sacrifices of police in safeguarding the life and property of people of the state. He said that police is quite keen to develop the sports talent of the youth of the  state.
Mr Chowdhary appealed the gathering to save their children from social evils like drugs and allied things.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Deputy Commandants Amit Bhasin and Suresh Kumar Chib.
