JAMMU, May 13: Young shuttlers of different age group showed composure, class, grit and guts on day-2 of Dr Pradeep Sankhyadhar Memorial Open Badminton Tournament, being organized by the Young’s Badminton Club in collaboration with Jammu City and District Badminton Association at Badminton Hall, Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
In Under-10 boys singles, Udhyan beat Raghav 21-09, 21-13, Harsh got better of Shivang 21-17, 21-08, Bhavdeep Singh prevailed over Aarav 21-06, 21-07 and Shourya outplayed Rishav 21-09, 21-06, while in Under-10 boys doubles, Shourya and Ashman trounced Aarav and Harsh 21-05, 21-04 to stay alive in the competition.
In Under-10 girls singles, Snowy drubbed Shargus 21-06, 21-03, Skydeep beat Tanvika 21-06, 21-05, Suhani outclassed Rinita 21-04, 21-06 and Sambhavi toppled Pridhi 21-06, 21-09.
In Under-15 boys singles, Vansh outplayed Ayush 21-11, 21-23, 21-18, Ritik drubbed Ronak 23-21, 21-24, 21-19, Parth beat Tarun 21-03, 21-08, Aesh got better of Surinder 21-05, 21-04, Yadunandan prevailed over Shubam 21-19, 21-08, Bhavya beat Bhavkeerat 21-08, 21-11, Sidhant outplayed Aryan Salathia 13-21, 21-17, 21-17 and Kartik thrashed Anshu 21-12, 21-09.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Satpal Sharma, SAI, Badminton Coach.
