JAMMU, June 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed retired IFS officer Suresh Kumar Gupta as chairperson and Chief Engineer Manoj Gupta as member of the Jammu and Kashmir Water Resources Regulatory Authority (J&K WRRA).
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 139 of the Jammu and Kashmir Water Resources (Regulation and Management) Act, 2010, the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir hereby appoint Suresh Kumar Gupta, IFS (retired) as chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Water Regulatory Authority,” read an order issued by the UT Government.
Another Government order read, “In exercise of the powers conferred under section 139 of the Jammu and Kashmir Water Resources (Regulation and Management) Act, 2010, the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir appoint Manoj Gupta, Chief Engineer as Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Water Resources Regulatory Authority.”
Both appointments shall take effect from the date of assumption of the charge by the officers.
