NEW DELHI, Sept 4: Zinc futures traded 0.37 per cent lower at Rs 119.90 per kg today after speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend.
In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery this month declined 45 paise, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 119.90 per kg. It clocked a business turnover of 680 lots.
On similar lines, the metal for delivery in October softened by 40 paise, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 120.70 per kg in 11 lots.
Market analysts said weakness in zinc futures trade was mostly due to a falling trend in base metals pack and subdued demand at domestic spot markets. (PTI)
