JAMMU, Sept 10: Young Warrior Cricket Club (YWCC) defeated Young Cricket Club in the summit clash to lift the title trophy of the Hyundai Under-16 Boys Indoor Cricket Tournament, bat KC Sports Club, here today.
Earlier, Young Warrior Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Young Warrior Club scored 49 runs in 16 overs. Uttkarsh, Balvinder and Sajjad scored 14, 10 and 6 runs respectively. From bowling side, Sumit took 3 wickets, while Abu took 1 wicket.
In reply, Young Cricket Club bundled out for 45 in 11.4 overs and lost the match. Tazam scored 18 runs for his side, while Sumit and Paras contributed 11 and 6 runs respectively. From YWCC, Balvinder and Hanzala took 3 wickets each, while Devatas took 2 wickets. The medals and trophies were distributed among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
At the end of the match, players practiced with the bola bowling machine to improve their reflexes under the supervision of YSCE coaches.
