JAMMU, Nov 7:    Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC)  chief  Pranav Shagotra has extended gratitude to the  youth of 22 districts of the State who have given overwhelming support to the PYC during ‘Yuva Akrosh Yatra’.
Talking to media-persons at PCC office here today, the PYC president said that with the overwhelming support of the youth across the State, the ‘Yuva Akrosh Yatra’ of the PYC has proved as grand success. He said that purpose of the Yatra was to launch vigorous campaign against the ruling BJP-PDP coalition for their anti-youth and anti-worker policies. He said the PYC educated the masses through this campaign and thousands of youth of the State in every district, moved shoulder to shoulder during the rally.  The PYC leader thanked all the youth for their strong support for the cause.
Mr Shagotra  further alleged that there is no Government on the ground and the employees of different categories including NYC, daily wagers, contractual, need base workers  are struggling for their wages.  He said that PYC will intensify its agitation for its demand of scrapping new recruitment policy, settle NYC, daily wagers, ITI and other youths’ problems.
The PYC appealed the youth to participate en-mass in the “Secretariat Gherao” call given by JKPCC on  November 9, 2015. He revealed that youth activists from whole J&K will participate in secretariat  `gherao’ which is aimed at fighting for the better governance and deliverance from present dispensation.
Mr Shagotra said that financial package announced by Prime Minister Narendra  Modi is hopeless, directionless and insufficient. He said the youth were expecting 10,000 crore as special package for employment. He said package has been given for payments of projects already undertaken by previous UPA Govt and those projects which were already sanctioned. There is nothing new and Jammu region has  been ignored again. The Prime Minister is silent on AIIMS for Jammu, Smart City for Jammu and Srinagar   besides flood victims were given an insufficient package.
Senior PYC leaders Rajvir Manhas,  Sandeep Singh Rissam, Rajan Sharma and  Charanjeet Singh were also present.
