JAMMU, Mar 18: Senior BJP leader and MLA, Yudhvir Sethi here today started the construction work of a deep drain in Bawa Lal Gali of Ward number 3 in presence of party workers, locals and prominent dignitaries.
The project will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs. 16.5 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi stated that addressing civic issues such as sanitation, drainage and road connectivity remains a top priority for the government. He highlighted that the new deep drain system would significantly reduce water-logging problems in the area particularly during the monsoon season thereby preventing inconvenience to the residents.
The MLA further added that BJP led Government, under the leadership of PM Modi, has been working tirelessly to uplift the living standards of people.
He emphasized that infrastructural development is an essential pillar in transforming Jammu into a modern and well-planned city.
The BJP leader urged the residents to support the administration in maintaining public infrastructure by keeping their surroundings clean and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
AEE Rajesh, Arun Sethi, Pawan Sharma, Adarsh Mandal president, Sanjeev Verma, Vikrant Sharma, Sanjay Abrol, Ajay Sharma, Parveen Kher, Anuradha Sharma, Preeti Sharma, Bindu Kumari and Sushma Kumari were prominent among those present on the occasion.
