JAMMU, July 14: Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, today launched a water supply project in Lajpat Nagar, Goyal Lane and Fishery Mohalla areas of East Constituency.
A statement said the project involves laying new water supply pipes at an estimated cost of Rs 14.5 lakh.
“It aimed to ensure regular and clean drinking water for residents under efforts to improve basic civic amenities,” it said.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said the BJP Government is committed to providing all essential services to people’s doorsteps.
He said, “Water is a basic need and we are working continuously to improve civic infrastructure.”
The MLA said several development works are underway in different areas of Jammu East and assured residents that their concerns will be addressed promptly.
He added, “I am always available for the people and it is my duty to resolve their issues related to water, power, sanitation, and roads without any delay.”
Locals expressed their gratitude to the MLA and PHE Department for fulfilling their long-pending demand.
Yudhvir Sethi also assured that all other pending issues in the area will be solved in a time-bound manner.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Executive Engineer PHE Rajesh, BJP leaders Raman Sharma, Swati Sharma, Swarn Singh, Ranjit Singh, Kartar, Chaman Lal Angral and Goyal.
