JAMMU, Dec 10: MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi today kick-started a series of major development projects aimed at improving road connectivity and infrastructure across different localities of the constituency.
The initiatives, sanctioned under various Government schemes, reflect the commitment to strengthening basic amenities and accelerating developmental pace in the region.
Addressing locals during the launch of works for the macadamisation of the Pargalta-Sarah road, Sethi said that the project, sanctioned at a cost of Rs 25 lakh, would significantly ease movement for residents.
“This road is vital for daily commuters. We are ensuring quality work in two stages – first the tile work and then the blacktopping – so that the road remains durable and long-lasting,” YudhvirSethi stated while interacting with the people.
He further inaugurated the construction of the road at SC Mohalla, Lower Kuper, an important demand of the residents for many years. The project, approved at Rs 1 crore 20 lakh, aims to provide smooth accessibility to the community.
Sethi assured the public that the work would be completed within the stipulated time and with strict adherence to quality standards.
“Our focus is to reach every Mohalla and address the developmental needs without discrimination,” he said.
In another significant step, blacktopping work at Patana Mohalla, Bain Bajalta was also started today with an estimated cost of Rs 12.5 lakh. Local citizens expressed gratitude for the long-awaited project, highlighting how the improved road would benefit school-going children, farmers, and daily commuters.
Sethi reiterated that development at the grassroots level remains his top priority.
“I am committed to ensuring that every part of Jammu East witnesses progress. These works mark another step in delivering better facilities and addressing public grievances promptly,” YudhvirSethi added.
He also urged residents to cooperate with executing agencies and monitor ongoing works to ensure transparency and accountability.
The launch of these projects has generated widespread appreciation from the public, who hailed the efforts of the MLA for consistently pushing forward developmental activities across the constituency.
