JAMMU, Nov 29: MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, along with officials from various departments and the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), today conducted an extensive tour of Bikram Chowk, nearby areas, and Rajiv Colony to review civic facilities and address public grievances.
The team inspected sanitation conditions, drainage systems, road infrastructure, and ongoing development works.
Residents raised issues such as clogged drains, damaged lanes, irregular sanitation, and poor waste management.
Sethi instructed the concerned departments to resolve these problems at the earliest, stressing timely execution and strict monitoring of development works.
He said that ensuring basic civic facilities like cleanliness, proper drainage, and better road connectivity for every household is a top priority.
He assured that adequate funds and resources will be provided to speed up improvement works and emphasised the importance of regular field visits to maintain transparency and direct communication with the public.
Officials accompanying the MLA also interacted with residents and noted specific issues requiring immediate attention.
Engineers from JMC and UEED assessed technical needs for repairs, while the Health Officer briefed locals on ongoing sanitation efforts.
Sethi concluded the tour by reiterating that the development of every ward and locality remains a key focus and that such inspections will continue to ensure accountability and prompt redressal of civic issues.
