JAMMU, Mar 12: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MLA from Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, organized a public darbar at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan to listen to the concerns and grievances of the people.
BJP East Mandal president, Adarsh Jathiar, district president, SC Morcha, Vijay Gill, district secretary, Savita Anand, East Mandal Mahila Morcha president, Preeti Sharma, Bajalta Mahila Morcha president, Amita Rajput, general secretary, Harvinder Singh, Amphalla Mandal, ST Marcha president, Chaman Angral were also present.
The public interaction programme witnessed a large turnout of residents from different parts of Jammu East constituency, who gathered at the venue to present their issues related to civic amenities, development works, and other public concerns. Several delegations, social activists, and local residents participated in the Darbar and placed their problems before the MLA.
During the interaction, people raised issues related to road repairs, sanitation, water supply, electricity, drainage systems, and other infrastructural needs in their respective localities. Some residents also highlighted problems concerning public welfare schemes and requested timely redressal of pending issues.
Yudhvir Sethi patiently listened to the grievances and assured the participants that their concerns would be addressed on priority. He immediately took up several matters with the concerned departments and directed officials to take prompt action.
The MLA emphasized that such public outreach programmes help to strengthen communication between the Government and citizens.
Sethi said that the purpose of organizing public Darbars is to ensure that people’s issues are heard directly and resolved without unnecessary delay. He reiterated his commitment to the development of Jammu East and assured that continuous efforts are being made to improve infrastructure and public services in the constituency.
The MLA also encouraged residents to actively participate in developmental initiatives and maintain regular communication with their elected representatives. He stressed that collective cooperation between the administration and the public is essential for the overall progress of the region.
Sethi reiterated that such public interactions will continue in the future to ensure effective governance and better service delivery to the people of Jammu East constituency.
