JAMMU, Dec 11: MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, today convened a public Darbar at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan, Kacchi Chawni, here to directly engage with residents, listen to their issues, and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances.
Prominent party leaders present in the public Darbar include district vice president, Rajesh Gupta, spokesperson, Raman Sharma, Mandal president, Adarsh Jathiar, general secretaries, Ajit Jogi and Harvinder Singh, ex-Sapranch, Anthem Shoba Rani.
The Darbar witnessed a large turnout of locals, traders, women and senior citizens, who presented a wide range of civic and developmental concerns before the Legislator.
During the interaction, people raised issues related to installation of new street lights, laying of new PHE water pipelines, clearance of deep drains and construction of damaged lanes and drains, traffic congestion, and the need for improved public amenities across various localities of Jammu East.
Many residents appreciated the MLA’s continued effort to maintain a direct dialogue with the public and his commitment to resolving their problems at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi reiterated that the aim of holding regular public Darbars is to strengthen the communication channel between the people and their elected representatives.
He assured that all genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned departments for early action. He also instructed officials on the spot telephonically to address urgent issues on priority and maintain transparency in their functioning.
Sethi said that development of Jammu East remains his top priority and highlighted ongoing works related to road repairs, drainage improvement, and beautification of heritage areas.
He urged people to support initiatives aimed at improving civic infrastructure and maintaining cleanliness in the city.
The MLA emphasised that public cooperation is vital for achieving long-term development goals.
