JAMMU, Jan 25: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Yudhvir Sethi today conducted an extensive public outreach tour of Bajalta Mandal, covering Panchayat Jagti, Mohalla Jagdamba, Chandi Mata MandirDhammi, Mohalla Lower Dhammi, and Mohalla Jhadi, where he interacted with local residents, Panchs, Sarpanchs, and party workers to understand grassroot issues and spread awareness about new Government schemes.
During the tour, Yudhvir Sethi held detailed interactions with people and listened to their day-to-day problems related to basic amenities, development works, and welfare benefits.
He assured the public that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments for early resolution. He also created awareness about key schemes such as the e Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act 2025 initiatives, highlighting how these programmes aim to strengthen rural infrastructure and improve the quality of life of citizens.
He said this act increases guaranteed workdays for rural households from 100 to 125 per year, ensures faster wage processing, with automatic compensation for delays, aimed at providing better income stability for the poor, focuses on building permanent durable assets like better roads, infrastructure, and improved irrigation to foster long-term village development besides allowing workers to take a 60-day break during peak agricultural seasons to focus on their own farming without losing out on overall benefits.
He described the Act as a crucial pillar in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047, aligning traditional labor with a modern, digital economy.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said, “The purpose of such visits is to directly connect with the people, understand their problems, and ensure that the benefits of Central Government schemes reach every deserving household. Development is meaningful only when it is inclusive and people-centric.”
He further added that public participation is essential for successful implementation of welfare schemes.
“People must be aware of their rights and the facilities being provided by the Central Government. Only then can we build a strong and self-reliant society,” he said.
