JAMMU, Sept 11: Yuva Rajput Sabha has announced a series of programmes to be held in connection with 13th birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, which falls on September 23, this month.

The programmes include a mega road show, cultural programmes and traditional Maha-rally for which all arrangements are being finalized by the Sabha.
This was informed by the YRS president Sanjeev Singh, while addressing a press conference along with other office bearers and core committee members of the Sabha, here today.
“The series of programmes will commence with a road show in Jammu on September 18, which will start from near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh at 10 am and passes through various areas like Kot Bhalwal, Akhnoor, Jourian, Khour and Pallawala before culminating back at Jammu City through Jammu Akhnoor National Highway,” he said.
Thereafter, he added, statue of Maharaja Hari Singh will be washed and cleaned on 21st of September while on September 22, a mega cultural program will be held near the statue from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am, in which Dogra artists of Jammu will participate and perform songs paying tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh.
Sanjeev Singh also informed in detail about the traditional rally of YRS on 23rd September, which will start from MD Resort Keran Bantalab at 10:30 am pass through Chinore, Roopnagar, Janipur, Newplot, Amphala Chowk, Panjtirthi CPU Chowk, Kachi Chawni, Parade, Shalimar Chowk, Indra Chowk and Gumat before culminating near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh on the main Tawi bridge.
YRS founder Members Rajinder Singh Manhas Rajesh Singh and Ranjeet Singh also spoke on the occasion. They along with former President Surinder Singh Gilli, Rajveer Singh, Rajan Singh Happy and Vikram Singh Vicky appealed people to participate the birth celebration events .
“Make September 23 rally grand and impressive by wearing Dogra dress and Dogra Turban,” they said and also appealed people not to carry fire arms with them.
