JAMMU, Apr 17: City police arrested a youth, who was involved in attempt to murder case.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from City police station conducted a raid and arrested a youth from Bakshi Nagar area, who was evading his arrest in attempt to murder case.
The accused has been identified as Himanshu Sharma, son of late Ram Lal, a resident of Mast Garh.
He along with his two associates had attacked a man namely Dalbir Singh, a resident of district Doda, presently residing in Jhullaka Mohalla with liquor bottles in Kanak Mandi area on February 23, 2016, causing grievous injuries to Dalbir.
A case under FIR Number 13/16 under Section 307/34 RPC stands registered against him at City police station.
Manhunt is going on to nab two other persons, who were also involved in this case.
Police team led by Incharge SMGS police post SI Mohammad Rashid made the arrest under the supervision of SHO City Inspector Shakti Sharma and SDPO City Vivek Shekhar Sharma.
